GRAPE: Tempranillo


VINIFICATION: Made with 100% Tempranillo. Hand harvested. Fermented 24 days at a controlled temperature in an inox tank of 22.500L. Malolactic fermentation during 2 months in tank. Natural decantation followed by an additional stay of 3 months.
Aged 6 months in French oak barrels and 6 months in bottle.

TASTING NOTES: Brilliant ruby with some interesting opaque purple lines. Smoky blue fruits and cherry compote aromas pick up a peppery nuance with air, along with vanilla and woodsmoke.
Fleshy, spicy and and seamless offering sweet, concentrated black and blue fruit flavors and a touch of licorize and lavender very typical from these lands.

FOOD PAIRING: It is delicious for pairing with Beef Pot Roast with Creamy Gravy, Pork Tenderloin, Veal Breast with Dill Sauce, Lamb Stew with spring onions, Iberic Jamon, grilled Salmon

Javier Ortega ‘Pipeta’, oenologist and owner, began his path in this world 20 years ago. Clearly influenced by the figure of his father who had sold wines from the best regions in Spain during all his life. Javier has spent his last years elaborating wines in the best growing areas and they have been awarded by excellent rates. Part of the 25ha of vineyard of his property are inherited, the rest has been adquired during the years from well-known best winegrowers in the area. This is a crucial factor contributing to the excellent quality of this wine.
