GRAPE: Tempranillo.

APPELLATION: Ribera del Duero DO.

VINIFICATION: Made with 100% Tempranillo. Fermentation at 28ºC. 14 days of maceration. Aged 20 months in French and Central Europe oak barrels, 18 months in bottle.

TASTING NOTES: Deep, bright ruby red. Highly complex, aromatic nose. Flavorful, and yummy with a silky texture and gentle sweet tannins. Vibrant blackcurrant and cherry compote flavors and a hint of vanilla. Persistent finish, leaving dark chocolate and allspice notes .

FOOD PAIRING: Perfect for roast lamb, tender lamb cutlets, morcilla, Manchego cheese, barbecue.

Bodega Viña Vilano is located in the village of Pedrosa de Duero, province of Burgos, internationally regarded as the most privileged wine-growing region within the Designation of Origin of Ribera del Duero, with aged vineyards dating back to its foundation in 1957.

Currently, Bodega Viña Vilano owns over 300 hectares of “Tinta Fina” or “Tinta del País” grapes, a local strain of the world renowned “Tempranillo”.

Over the past few years, the winery has installed state-of-the-art wine-making technology and built a cask aging facility that holds American, French and Central European oak casks to produce top qualities of their Viña Vilano range.
